Honey Mustard Yellow

Before I became a mother, I would notice families out in restaurants.  I would sit in my chair and pass judgement on them, thinking to myself (ok, so I seldom ever only think to myself), “How can they let their child act this way?”  I have seen it all, folks.  I have seen temper tantrums, kicking, screaming, throwing food, eating off the floor, smearing food all over the table….you name it, I’ve probably seen it. Well, today, I have repaid some of my debt to mankind for passing afore said judgement.

At a restaurant that we frequent, my daughter decided to be one of those children, and I, one of those parents.  As I cut up her chicky-chicky-bok-bok (yes, this is what she calls chicken strips now), she took her french fries and proceeded to dip them in honey mustard and smear it all over  paint the table yellow.  I was mortified.

My sister-in-law, who had her two boys with us, made it all better though.  When we were leaving, her child went one step farther, and decided to try and eat off the floor.
