Happy Father’s Day!

I am fortunate enough to have a great father. He has been a husband for 33 years and a father for 27 and he loves me and my family very much.  Over the years, we have had some lean times, and some not so lean times, but one thing has remained constant.  He has always  tried to do the best that he possibly can for us.  His father was a great example of that, and I am so glad that my dad learned from him.  I couldn’t ask for a better father for me and my sister.  I am so fond of him that I call him “Daddy” most of the time.  Some things never change

This year is the second year that my husband is getting to celebrate Father’s Day.  Since Baby Girl is not really old enough to thank him properly, I will gladly do it for her.  Dr. D is a great father.  He spends loads of time with her, and she loves him so much.  He even changes diapers!  She runs down the hall yelling, “Daddy, Daddy, Daddy” when she really wants to play with him.  We have been away from her this week while Dr. D moves, and I get to see her later today.  Dr. D, however has no idea when he gets to see her again.  We have webchat capabilities, but it is just not the same.  I know that he is going to miss her terribly.  Not the ideal way to spend fathers’ day.

I am so fortunate to have these two great men in my life.  They make me wish that all men could be like them.

Happy Fathers’ Day to you Dad.  I love you very much.

Happy Fathers’ Day to you Dr. D.  Your daughter is going to appreciate how much you love and care for her one day.  I already do.  I love you and I miss you already.
