Yesterday, my mom and I took Baby Girl to my Grandma’s House. She is fortunate enough to have four Great-Grandmas. Two of which, she gets to see often. My maternal grandmother lives in my hometown in Southeast Arkansas. She has a lovely little house on a nice plot of land on the edge of town. Her yard has great St. Augustine grass in the front and back.

I have always loved this kind of grass! It is so hearty and lush. It makes a great play surface. We took the wagon, and her Little Tikes Slide and set them up on the porch. It was so nice and shady.

We also went out back to visit the horse at the neighbor’s house. Baby Girl thought the horse was soft and funny. She was very afraid that she would eat her shoes though! She kept moving her feet back every time the horse would dip her nose at Baby Girl’s shoes. It was too funny.

We had a wonderful visit. Until we went in the house.
My face was hot and itchy. I headed into the bathroom to wash my hands and face. Uh oh. The reason my face was hot and itchy was very apparent. It was swollen and my eyes were red. And the swelling was growing and growing. My mom and I headed off to Wal-Mart to buy some Benadryl. I took a dose and waited. It wasn’t really going down. This is when it pays off to have a medical family. Along with all of the gory dinner conversation of blood and guts, you also get 24/7 medical care! I was able to get a steroid dose-pack to start that night.
By the time I went to bed, I was not even recognizable. My eyes had massive bags underneath. It looked almost as if I had had a face lift! Unfortunately, I had not. My eyes have returned to their normal state, and man, am I thankful. I was getting really tired of looking out and being able to see my cheeks in my field of vision.
We did get some great pictures of Baby Girl while we were down there. Here are some of my favorites:

“Wow. That sure is alot of grass. How am I supposed to play on every patch?”

“Bubbles Come Back! Bubbles! Come BACK!!!”

“I bet this smells good.” (Notice the pinky finger.)

Sniff. (That pinky is still straight up!)

The pictures didn’t come up for some reason… Were you allergic to the horses… I hate when cheeks are in your field of vision.. that shouldn’t happen after your 4th birthday..
Ok. Try This.
Ok I can’t see the pics…. well most of them. I was looking for new pics of the kiddo and was greeted by poop. Lucky me.
On another note… I’m watching my friend’s 5 year old. She just looked over my shoulder and saw your page. She immediately goes “HEELIES!!!! omg they’re SO COOL… you just slip them on and you’re ready to go… I need those amber!!”
