Rain, rain, go away. And don’t show your wet drippy ways around here for many more days!!
This is Day #2 that we have been stuck inside the house due to a rain delay. Baby Girl is hating it. The dogs are hating it. I am hating it. We can’t go to the pool, we can’t go to the park, and it’s just to yucky to really go anywhere else.
To make things worse, we REALLY need to get the dogs out of the house during the day. Since we have listed the house on the market, we have been trying to “get the dog smell out”. Yeah, like that is going to happen. They are big hairy pups. There is no way that the dog smell is going to leave entirely, until we leave entirely. We knew that this was a potential problem when we started, but we just can’t move the pups outside permanently. They are house dogs! They sleep in my bed with me! I would miss them so much if we moved them outside. Plus, what good does it do to have two great dogs if you can’t love on them all the time?
So…if you have any fantastic doggy odor removal tips, please throw them my direction. We need all the help we can get at this point.
*Updated: We did, in fact, make it out of the house today. We met Baby Girl’s two cousins and aunt at our newly-opened Chic-Fil-A. It was awesome. The first stand-alone Chic-Fil-A in town. With a brand new play structure, might I add. Not only that, it was clean!!! Baby Girl’s socks were barely dirty when we left 2 hours later. Yes, I was in a fast food restaurant for 2 hours. God help us all.

Nothing wrong with being at a fast food restaurant for 2 hours. Several factors going there as I see it. Rain prevented anything else so why not stay where it was warm and dry. Baby girl was having fun and staying safe (and clean). You had another adult (aunt) to talk to. And you scored a good lunch. All around a great day, IMHO!
I heard that kitty litter is a great odor and moisture remover. I am sorry I am not there to invite you over to the house for some playtime!
