WFMW: Prep Bowls

For today’s WFMW tip, I would like to share with you one of my favorite kitchen helpers.

My Pampered Chef Prep Bowls.

I use these bowls all the time! Made of glass, these bowls have hash-marks on the sides to allow them to be used as impromptu measuring cups. Though lids are not airtight (they are similar to the mixing bowl lid), they seal well enough to keep liquids inside the bowl. Their one-cup volume is just enough to allow you to use them for heating up single and double servings of frozen veggies in the microwave! One of their best features is that they can be used to make mini-cakes (bigger than a cupcake, smaller than a big cake). A standard box of cake mix easily fits into the 6 bowls that come in the set. Oh yeah…they also make great prep bowls. They are awesome for pre-chopping ingredients for later assembly.

    I’m a Pampered Chef Consultant in the Atlanta area, and I totally agree. The Prep Bowls are one of my most-used products in my own home.

    They’re also perfect for making pudding, by the way. If you place a portion in each bowl and put the lids on before putting them in the fridge to set – no “skin” develops on top. Super easy!

    I just love Pampered Chef stuff. I don’t have those bowls, but they do sound very useful. I like the idea of using them to heat up servings of veggies. Good tip!
