WFMW: The Brand Loyal Edition!
This week, Shannon over at Rocks in My Dryer is posing an all American question, What Brands do you always buy? I found this a very interesting question. A few items popped into my mind immediately, but other than those, I’m not sure I am really that “brand loyal”. Here is my list of what we must buy:
Cottonelle Toilet Paper–No Dyes or Perfumes that can be irritating. It is soft and does not clog our pipes. I don’t buy anything else anymore. I also use their wipes for Baby Girl’s Adventures in Potty Training!
Bounty Paper Towels–What can I say other than it is the “Quicker, Thicker, Picker-Upper.” I will only buy generic (or another brand) it they are out of Bounty.
Pepcid Complete–Nothing else works as well for the middle-of-the-night acid reflux. It does not taste too bad, and it is WAY better than the “foamy stuff”.
Pampers Diapers–I know. They cost boucoups more money, but we have had such good luck with them, I’m scared to try something different!
Diaper Goop–The best stuff that I have found for Baby Girl’s nasty diaper rashes. It can even be applied on top of prescription rash cream to lock-in the Rx. It does not hurt that it is made in Little Rock, AR!
Coke–What can I say? I will (probably) NEVER buy generic coke again. It is just not the same! Being the Southern Gal that I am, it is Coke all the way, baby!
Neutrogena Rainbath Shower Gel–Dr. D likes it way better than anything else. It smells really great (yeah, I like to use it too…) and seems to leave less soap scum.
Crest Toothpaste–I’m really picky with taste and textures. I found a Crest toothpaste that I really like and I’m sticking with it.
Crocs–I’m a total Croc snob. I have 2 pair of them (both black) and I love them to pieces. They may be ugly as sin, but they are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned, hands down. I will only buy the official brand ones for myself, however. They are noticeably more comfortable. They offer more spring to the step than the fake crocs (or frocs, as they have been come to be known). My daughter does have some frocs but only because it is very hard to fine the real ones in her size! (She does have real pink crocs. They are her favorite shoes ever because she can put them on and take them off all by herself!)
What can’t you live without? I’m sure there are other things, but I just can’t think of them right now. Head on over to Rocks in My Dryer to find out what other folks pay the big bucks for!

I’m a Crest snob too. Even when I can get other brands on sale for much cheaper, I spend the extra money for Crest!
I am sad to admit that I have “cheated” on Crest a few times, but I always come running back. I will never stray again.
I’ve gotta have the Crest paste myself and not the one that tastes like pepto bismol
I don’t own crocs…sigh…not in the budget! Boo hoo.

Pampers for me, too! My daughter drinks and pees more than our whole family put together! The cheap-os don’t do the trick.
I used to be devoted to Pampers as well- until I found out that they make Luvs. So, unless I was buying Swaddlers or Cruisers, I’d pick Luvs over the Pampers Baby-Dry type. How sad is it that I know the names of each diaper? Anyways, we’re using cloth right now.
Good reviews on all the products. I’m curious to try out these “Crocs.”
I only use Crest too and coke is my favoritist (sure that’s a word) thing in the whole world right now.
I couldn’t live without my Crocs - NOTHING else even comes close for comfort. And so cool - even in high summer (which is HOT here in Israel) your feet don’t get all sweaty and gross.
Love Bounty (although I’m crazy about the select-a-size version). Can’t do Crest any more. Ever since marrying dh, I’ve been a Colgate girl. Diet Coke is an absolute in our family. Tried other diapers but with five children was pretty much a loyal Pampers family.

Have you seen the new crocs that have the sheepskin (I’m sure fake sheepskin) on the inside? Can’t wait until it is cooler than 90 here and I can imagine putting them on!
I think it’s amazing that some babies do well with pampers and others absolutely not.
Mine did very well with huggies, and got a rash from pampers.

Great list! I’ve used Crest all my life - my mom swears it’s why my brother and I never had many cavities, so I’m sticking with it.
We’ve used Huggies for all 3 kids - like you, I’m too afraid to try anything else since we’ve had such good luck with those.
I’m a total coke snob too! I think that’s the only brand I’m really loyal to though.
I won’t skimp on diapers, either, but I’m all about the Huggies. Pampers stick up funny in the back on my kiddos.
Wipees are definately from Papmers, though.
Cottonelle and Crest here too. I like the Pro-health kind though, it’s all about the tingle. It’s gotta be Tom’s Natural Paste for the kids though.
I’m loyal to Luvs diapers! My boys (all 4 of them) would get a rash with any generic diapers. Huggies would just leak every time I used them. Pampers are good, but expensive. Since Luvs is made by the same company as Pampers, they’ve worked for us! Oh and lately, I’m not too fond of the pampers…what is that powdery stuff in them now??
I’m with you on the Coke and the Bounty! Pepsid AC worked wonders for me…I’ve never tried Pepsid Complete…I might just have to!

Bounty Select A Size - love the little sheets!
Nine West Pumps - they’re not crocs.. but they are the BEST pointed toe heels ever!! (trust me I’ve tried my share!) For a basic heel you can’t get better!
Clinique Skin Care/Makeup - There are a FEW non-clinique makeup products i’ll use but the skin care is the ONLY thing that works for me.
OPI Nail Polish - Hands down the best out there
White T-shirt : Gap- the “plain white tee” is incredible… best fit and most comfort. PLUS it’s long enough that my low rise jeans aren’t indecent!
OK so not exactly a “mommy” list but you get the pic!! haha
When my son was born, we received a couple of packages of another diaper brand and they kept leaking! I don’t know what it is, but Pampers are worth the extra money since they save me from having to wash more clothes, blankets, and bedding.
Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues - three-ply tissues are totally worth it since I have seasonal allergies.
