WFMW: Can Mama Help?

Avast, me hearties! Today being International Talk Like a Pirate Day and all, methinks I should share one of my most coveted tips for keeping the crew in line. Can Mama Help? See, me hearties, when I spy my little lassie avoiding doing something she has been told to do, me asks her, “Can Mama Help?”

Here are a few examples:

Ay Lassie! You are not swabbing the poop deck as Captain Mama has asked! Can Mama Help?

Avast me Lassie! Can Mama Help you finish gathering up your pieces of eight before you go to bed?

Usually, by offering to help, me little Lass gets back on course with the wind in her sails. We get our tasks accomplished and no one has to walk the plank.

Methinks that is what is working for this ship. What is working for your ship? Steer your vessel over to Rocks in My Dryer and tell the world what you do to keep your crew shipshape.

    Just read about this Talk Like a Pirate thing. I told my daughter and she replied Arrgh. I think that is about all we know around here besides matey. You seem to be much more proficient. I am impressed.
